It is a simple to use 'spray on' waterproofing treatment, designed to restore factory levels of performance on all waterproof and breathable fabrics. It also helps to protect against mud and ground-in stains. And the best bit? It's safe for the environment, as it's water-based and doesn't contain PFCs!

Instructions for Use:

1. Shake bottle well before use to activate the formula.
2. Spray all over a clean, damp garment from 10-15cm away until garment is fully treated. (We would recommend using a technical performance wash to clean the garment before application. Always follow the washing instructions on the label.). We recommend spraying in a well-ventilated, dry area.
3. Remove any excess treatment with a clean cloth.
4. . Allow treatment to cure. Air dry by hanging up and leave to dry overnight before wearing garment in wet conditions again.
5. The efficiency of the DWR applied to the surface of the technical apparel will gradually wear off over time with normal wear and washing, so we recommend refreshing the coating every 3 months depending on wear and washing. All waterproof clothing needs to be cared for to keep it performing at its best. Using ordinary household detergent will ultimately break down the DWR and impair the water repellent due to the heavy surfactants in these products. If you notice that water is no longer beading on the surface of your garment and soaking into the fabric then it is time to refresh with re-proofer. Best applied to a clean, damp garment for optimum results

Muc-Off Technical Wash is a wash-in cleaner that safely removes dirt, grime, and odours from your technical gear. The unique, concentrated formula gives your garments a deep but safe clean, whilst protecting any existing DWR treatments and the breathability of the material, so it's perfect for freshening up and extending the life of those shred threads! It can be used on any technical or waterproof/water repellent fabric including Gore-Tex®, Polartec®, Pertex®, eVent®, softshell and hardshell clothing.

Instructions for Use:

1. Place garments to be washed into your washing machine.
2. Shake bottle well to activate the formula.
3. Use 25ml (5 x 5ml/0.16oz capfuls) per wash load.
4. Dispense Technical Wash for Apparel directly into the detergent drawer of your washing machine, in place of normal washing detergent.
5. Wash on a full cycle at 30°C/86°F or according to care label instructions.
6. Allow garments to air-dry.

If washing water repellent/waterproof garments we'd recommend re-treating with our Wash-In or Spray-On Rain Shield ReProofer after the wash to restore the water repellent finish. Follow the directions for use on the bottle for application details.

3. For best results we recommend reproofing garments separately. 
4. Use 20 x 5ml caps per large item, or two smaller items. Use 5 x capfuls if hand washing.
5. Pour the product directly into the detergent drawer of your washing machine
6. Wash on a full cycle at 30°C/86°F or according to the care label instructions.
7. Air-dry by hanging up and leave to dry overnight before wearing the garment in wet conditions again. Or tumble dry if the care label inside your garment permits.

TOP TIP - For an even more durable treatment, you can apply our Rain Shield Re-Proofer spray as a second treatment after using the wash in formula. This will build a secondary water repellent coating on garments used in very harsh/wet conditions.
